Virtual Internship Opportunity: Marketing

Totum Women is able to offer a Virtual Internship opportunity for 1 Marketing student. The primary focus for the student will be:  Market Research  - Investigate our competitive landscape; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market for new and existing products and services; conduct customer surveys or focus groups to gain insights into the perceptions and behaviours of our target customers; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities. Public Relations  - Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy for paid, earned and owned media. Identify target market media outlets (print, digital, podcasts, events), create collateral (including press releases), execute on outreach and manage relationships. Prospecting Strategy  - Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process and develop and implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content. Digital Sales Support - Assist with the digital sales strategy and focus on increasing product sales, particularly on Shopify. Brand Partnerships & Sponsorships - Develop and implement a brand sponsorship strategy with a specific focus on events, ensuring strategic alignment and increased brand exposure. Brand Ambassador Program - Develop a localised brand ambassador program and mobilise a digital community. Identify roles and responsibilities, how they work with the Totum team, KPI's, and execution. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Market Research - For the student to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer. Public Relations - For the student to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a wider audience and effectively land 10 additional media opportunities across the USA. Prospecting Strategy - For the student to help us implement better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales team's performance. Brand Partnerships & Sponsorships - For the student to help us land strategic and aligned brand sponsors for our remaining events in 2020 and into 2021. Brand Ambassador Program - For the student to provide a actionable, localised, brand ambassador program that we can roll-out byt he end of 2020. Other duties the student may complete could include : Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy. Virtual Internship: Social Media Manager

Totum Women is able to offer a Virtual Internship opportunity for 1 Marketing student. Social Media Manager responsible for our Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Email marketing channels. This is a crucial role with incredible opportunity to be directly connected to our community, and working closely with our Founder & Creative Director. Responsible for: Content Planning Responsible for the Content Calendar (macro and detail) and inputting the 1st draft of content. Detail Due Wednesday EOD for the following week, macro due Wednesday EOD for the following 2 weeks. Considering for: Regular postings of our products and service offering Larger brand strategies like what’s our highest current priority Key holidays Contests Takeovers Cultural conversations CTA’s Partners Content Creation Responsible for creating the 1st draft of instagram/facebook, and Linkedin content (caption and images/graphics with the exception of key initiatives) Responsible for instagram/facebook stories, and weekly Pinterest graphics, hashtags, and descriptions Responsible for creating weekly emails Responsible for creating graphics for contests, giveaways, and partner requests Social Media Management Post daily to Instagram/Facebook feed and stories Post weekly to Linkedin Business Page Post 3x/week to Pinterest Send weekly emails Linktree Management Assist with reporting and analytics, and responding to what’s working/what can be improved Assist with twice monthly takeovers - sending guidelines, creating content and sending sign-on credentials to takeover hosts Develop hashtag lists that perform for target audience Develop lists of supportive communities and brands and tag in posts as appropriate DM new followers (and engage with them) with a personalised welcome message with a product discount code Community engagement: spend 30 minutes per day engaging with the community to organically grow our audience on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest by following/unfollowing relevant accounts, hashtags, relevant topics and content Other duties the student may complete could include : Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy. OUR GOALS AS PODCASTERS Enjoy our recording time together as we develop our friendship, create community through the use of artful conversation, education, supportive conversation, discussions of ideas and thoughts, entertainment, and ongoing monetization through product creation and ad based revenue. The After 30 Podcast will need support with content creation, PR, scheduling & management, brand partnerships, & management of ad and web-based revenue protocols. The After 30 Podcast is able to offer a Virtual Internship opportunity for 1 Marketing student. PROJECT SCOPE Public Relations  - Develop, implement and manage a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases and managing relationships Prospecting Strategy  - Evaluate our current listener base & make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process - develop & implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, & create new outreach content. SEO Strategy & Recommendations  - Develop & implement an SEO strategy; provide content suggestions & recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic & optimize visitor journey; increase inbound leads Strategic Social Media Marketing  - Develop & implement strategies for improving our online presence & increasing engagement - with particular focus on Pinterest, LinkedIn, & Facebook); and creating weekly marketing material. Brand Partnerships - Develop and implement a brand partnership strategy including ads for the podcast, and discount codes for social media and web Email Marketing - Develop & implement an email marketing strategy including monthly newsletter design and strategy to grow the email marketing base. STUDENT TASKS AND PRIMARY FOCUS Social media marketing & strategy (specifically amplifying and optimizing Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn) Content creation/ideas (in conjunction with weekly podcast topic); identify & utilize effective keywords and hashtags; schedule posts to each of the platforms on a daily/weekly basis Campaign management Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Google Analytics Graphic design (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator) WordPress website creation and management; landing page creation Curate content for newsletters Create and execute protocols for ad-based content Develop & implement PR Strategy STUDENT EXPERIENTIAL GOALS Branding and Marketing Communications  - For the student to help us improve our brand's presence and grow the business Public Relations  - For the student to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a broad audience. Prospecting Strategy  - For the student to help us implement better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales and conversions. SEO Strategy & Recommendations  - For the student to help us generate more traffic and revenue through search engines.
