During my internship, I collaborated with a web designer to create a style guide with typography, colors, and standards for consistency across platforms, refined by team feedback. This taught me how design flourishes in a supportive setting. Working with Alcove Ridge was rewarding due to the emphasis on quality. I crafted three user personas for a team presentation, exploring their needs and motivations. This deepened my appreciation for empathy in design and showed how a user-focused approach drives impact. It was a highlight of my time here. I designed logo iterations to meet project goals, sharpening my branding skills through the process. Collaborating with the web designer on the style guide underscored the value of teamwork. The innovative culture at Alcove Ridge made this a great experience. My time at Alcove Ridge, LLC has been an incredible opportunity to grow as a Cybersecurity Engineer and Tech Team Lead. An awesome experience, a great way to get some professional development experience

Alcove Ridge Consulting was very helpful in providing the best experience as an intern. They allowed us to participate in weekly meetings and learn professional traits. The entire team was easy to access and helpful. Communication was responded to quickly and teammates were able to make time to answer any and all questions we had.

Working with the team at Alcove Ridge was incredibly easy and enjoyable. From the very start of our project it became clear that this is a team that values open communication and accountability. As an early career software developer, any questions I had were received with open arms. I'm sure you can imagine how encouraging this is if you're on the same boat. Mind you, I was never really given the answer outright, mostly guiding questions and the occasional advice or redirection. That style of collaboration suited my personal preferences, as I learn best when being challenged. The culture is very casual, yet organized. The project management tools and methods they use allow for smoothly working independently or as a team. Overall, I'm very happy to have gotten the chance to work with the team at Alcove Ridge.

Working on this project gave a real eye-opening experience into what it takes to launch a start-up. There is a lot of work that goes on in the background to really set up systems and launch successfully. It was a great experience working with the team.
