Virtual Internship Opportunity for Administrative Services : Bring in one or more students from the (AIM) Administrative Information Management diploma program from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to be your virtual interns. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are available for 4-weeks (160 hours) in 2022. SAIT's AIM Students can help your small or large business through: communication and information exchange, document management, project management, event planning, online research, database creation and entries, data presentations, managing email, social media content creation and maintenance, scheduling, travel research, bookkeeping. Given the uncertainty of COVID-19 in 2022, placements can either occur virtually, or in-person if federal and provincial regulations allow. This is a 4-week, for-credit, unpaid practicum.

The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and Braintoy are partnering in the delivery of a 12 week Applied Machine Learning Bootcamp. Our students engage in an individual final machine learning project that spans 3 weeks. This project culminates in the development of a machine learning model that predicts, detects, or forecasts an entity. The data for the use case could be images (computer vision), text (natural language processing), time series (multi-variate or univariate), or tablular data. The data format would be a folder of images or comma-separated values (CSVs) for text, time series, or tablular data. The client will need to: 1) Provide a clearly defined machine learning problem. 2) Explain how the client intends to use the solution. 3) Explain why this problem needs to be solved. 4) Provide a subject matter expert that can be a touch point for the student and answer questions related to the data and use case.

Students completing their last semester of the 2-year Environmental Technology diploma at SAIT are seeking a short practicum opportunity with an organization for one week, April 5-9 in 2021 . This work-integrated-learning experience could be either in-person, or provided from a distance (virtually). Practicum length is one week, is un-paid, and the students earn credits for completion. It provides a valuable learning experience for students and an opportunity for employers to work with a graduating student.
