Finance Field Placement Experience with Durham College

The Finance Field Placement Experience is designed for learners in the Business Administration - Finance program, providing them with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-world finance settings. Learners will engage in a 160-hour field placement, where they will utilize skills in accounting, auditing, tax, and financial analysis to meet employer objectives. This experience aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application, allowing learners to evaluate their performance and gain insights into the finance industry.
Empowering Social Service Practice with Durham College

Learners will require weekly supervision by the industry partner. Durham College’s Social Service Worker program offers a unique opportunity for first-year learners to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world application through field placement. The course comprises 96 hours of direct client service alongside a seminar focused on reflective practice. Students aim to enhance their skills in recognizing diverse needs, building client relationships, and adhering to professional standards, all while developing strategies for personal and professional growth.
