We are a property management company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We specialize in the management of single family homes, condominiums and small multi-residential apartment blocks for out of town investors. We find and screen residents, collect the rent, provide all of the repairs and maintenance and give our clients peace of mind.
We are a medium sized company with 25 employees and are currently the largest property management company in our asset class in our city. We have a great reputation for servicing our clients using a combination of fast communication and empathy, creating the level of trust necessary to have a successful relationship with our residents, investors and vendors.

We are looking for a student to assist us in finding, interviewing and selecting new contractors for our property management company. The goal is for the student to deliver a list of interviewed and prescreened contractors, along with their thoughts and analysis on each of the candidates.

Marketing Phone Survey to Our New Tenants - Remote Project!
In our effort to ensure great service to our clients, we are looking for a student to call our new tenants that have recently moved in to ask them if they are happy and settled into their new homes. The results of this phone survey will be used to improve our move in processes and determine what more we can do to entice a tenant to renew their lease year after year.

Are you a marketing student? We need a Social Media Strategy for Facebook and IG
In the field of Property Management it is extremely difficult to create happy customers, due to the complex nature of collecting rent, midnight maintenance emergencies and other delays due to the volume of communication that occurs. While Upper Edge Property Management has a social media account on Facebook and Instagram, we only post about once per week, and it is only a weekly instructional property management video for landlords. We need to engage our tenants to foster a feeling of community and we feel having regular "feel good" type posts on Facebook and Instagram is necessary. Our goal is to have a student create a social media marketing plan for Facebook and Instagram, specifically catered to tenants, with the aim of engaging them to feel like they are appreciative to be living in a property managed by Upper Edge.

Facebook Research Project - Build a spreadsheet of common FAQs
The field of Property Management is complex, and it takes an extremely long time for an employee to gain the knowledge necessary to be comfortable enough to answer questions from tenants and owners. Our company is developing a mobile app to engage our staff and need content for this app. Therefore we need someone to research the most commonly asked questions by landlords on several Facebook real estate investment groups, and record those results into a spreadsheet. This will involve: Conduct research of existing Facebook and other internet resources (example: Bigger Pockets) for the most commonly asked questions by self-managing landlords Create a table of these Q&A and FAQs Rank each entry according to the most popular/common questions asked.
