Positions available: 1-2 computer science students working as a team 60-80 hours Begins in June over 4 weeks. We want to take advantage of the research, strategies, project planning to develop web design development project and communications/PR campaign and further develop our social media reach to new markets. Complete Communications and PR Campaign Plan and Website Design and Development Project Plan for extending reach of our products to the Canada and North American market, develop a business case and approach for this market -[ make recommendations of viability, innovation and best practice] Website Development - Conducting a needs analysis to determine increased performance of current website and platform is; creating a design proposal including mock-ups, budget, needs-analysis and timeline; building a fully-functioning website for our organization. Expectation for a complete a fully functioning website. Application Development - Selecting the best technologies for creating the application or feature (i.e. a real-time chat function); creating a fully-functioning application with optimal virtual performance and sustainability. Software Evaluation (integration of CRM) - Conducting a needs analysis; researching available options; evaluating the options within the context of our organization's budget, immediate needs, and projected needs. Application Programming Interfaces - Redesigning an existing API to simplify it; changing API technologies; designing a new API; creating or updating public-facing documentation. Creating a recommendation engine; spotting trends in existing data; spotting anomalies in security and key performance metrics, help our organization derive insights to inform decision-making. Project (Graphic Design experience required) Complete a series of progressive segments that ultimately provides CW with 1) an enhanced visual identity, 2) sample of refreshed design templates for newsletters and brochures, 3) draft templates with specific tools. Students also complete an ‘assignment learnings’ reflection document on developing a visual identify for the County and building refreshed Design templates for Newsletter and Brochures.
