Healthcare Administration Internship/Capstone

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from National University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the term, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program will study the development of planning strategies within healthcare organizations. They will conduct examinations of planning methods from needs assessment, through to program design. A heavy emphasis will be placed on strategic planning strategies.

Healthcare Marketing Internship/Capstone
Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from National University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the term, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program will be introduced to the fundamentals of marketing for healthcare professionals through focused readings, case studies, and discussions from practicing healthcare providers. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the foundations of healthcare marketing, strategic marketing, marketing ethics, and marketing insights that can help students adapt in the dynamic healthcare industry. This course is designed to help students develop marketing principles needed to create a marketing plan for a healthcare organization. Students will be able to combine marketing tools and management skills with patient satisfaction to thrive in the healthcare industry.

Foundations of Healthcare Leadership Internship/Capstone
Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from National University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the term, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program will examine the dynamic nature of leadership in the healthcare and public health contexts. This course uses foundational leadership concepts to develop leadership applications and processes, such as leadership assessment (individual and team), communication improvement, strategic planning, decision making alignment, employee enhancement and knowledge management for use in creating and maintaining an organizational culture that can thrive within its external environment while improving organizational efficiency, effectiveness and efficacy.

Healthcare Quality Assurance Management Internship/Capstone
Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from National University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the term, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program will be provided in-depth analysis in the application of CQI methodology. This course will explore the challenges of implementation and institutionalization, draw examples from a variety of health care organizations including primary care clinics, hospital laboratories, public health departments, and academic health centers. Concepts include the role of patients in CQI, assessing risk and preventing harm, strategies to promote and improve Safety and Quality, the use of social marketing in the implementation of new CQI techniques, continuous quality improvement in U.S. Public Health organizations, and future trends for continuous improvement in health care.
