Engage with our dedicated students to address real-world challenges in geographical analysis.
In this program, students will investigate the physical, cultural, economic, and historical characteristics of various provincial regions in British Columbia. They will examine settlement and development patterns, with a focus on industries like forestry, mining, and tourism prevalent in the Columbia Basin region.
Learners
Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Project Examples
Requirements
Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Completing projects associated with British Columbia and the surrounding regions
- Analyzing food and resource flows in and out of British Columbia
- Mapping patterns related to forestry, mining and tourism
- Creating and conducting surveys related to the cultural, economic and historical features of British Columbia
