A podcast focused on topics around water and the impacts water have on our environment, culture and industry. The Water We Doing? Podcast has Season 2 underway and needs creative support for topic generation, research, copywriting and scripting, sponsorship acquisition and advertising recordings, and audio/video post-production. Working with our host, students will be responsible to create 30 minute episodes and extended interview content in both audio and video formats. Product credits in the episodes for the students and the school.

Students could accomplish the following:

• Identify topics of interest for upcoming episodes.
• Research topics for content and scripting.
• Generate questions for the interviews.
• Coach participants for success on the microphone and video.
• Script each podcast episode.
• Edit the recorded audio for final publication.
• Edit the recorded video for clips.
• Production of video as a mix of video clips, audio overlays and stills.
• Provide recommendations on increasing listenership.
• Source/identify sponsors or advertisers, and scripting and/or recording the spots.
• Edit automatically generated transcripts for content and readability.
• Generate and edit subtitles.
• Create episode content writeups for website posting and social media.
• Social media campaign creation for each episode.

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. Students will be working directly with the host as well as a business/communications mentor.
