persuasive communication leadership program developmentWe are looking for individuals to support a new generation of young Ontario readers in this current age of social media. You will be involved in program development focused on literacy and leadership with our partner organization, Shift Happens.
We believe this project will include:
- Assist with finding ways to promote literacy and leadership in underserved communities within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Collaborate with other members to complete a program proposal.
- Identify community members interested in being involved with the proposed project.
- Research, plan, write, edit, and revise a persuasive proposal narrative
- Reflect on previous experiences (personal or shared) to explore how to support underserved
- Meet bi-weekly to complete program development
Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. There will be a meeting weekly to discuss any questions and next steps.
About the company
Big Little Books is a registered non-profit that wants to inspire a new generation of young Ontario readers in this current age of social media. Through friendly tournaments and thought-provoking workshops, we hope to increase youth engagement with literacy by creating memorable moments with their fellow peers. Working with schools and libraries across Ontario, we hope to support underserved communities and their youth.
