AloWish is an intelligent travel platform that combines accessibility data, AI-driven recommendations, and a proprietary algorithm to create safe and inclusive travel experiences for individuals with health conditions or disabilities. The platform offers SaaS services, affiliate marketing, and curated travel packages through a growing network of partners in Canada, Europe, and India. This project aims to increase AloWish’s platform traffic and user engagement by leveraging digital marketing strategies, analytics, and performance optimization techniques.

Deliverables

Overview:

Students will research, plan, and execute data-driven marketing strategies that attract targeted users (e.g., travellers with accessibility needs, partner travel agencies) to AloWish’s platform. Students will also analyze web and campaign performance to generate actionable insights.

Key Tasks:

  • Develop a digital marketing campaign targeting specific user groups (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Perform competitor analysis of platforms like Wheel the World, Travel for All, and Airbnb’s accessibility features
  • Evaluate AloWish’s existing channels and suggest improvements (e.g., SEO, influencer outreach, analytics setup)
  • Track and assess campaign performance and conversions
  • Recommend sustainable growth tactics for website and app traffic

Deliverables:

  • Digital marketing strategy plan
  • 1–2 optimized ad campaigns or social media content batches
  • Competitor traffic benchmarks
  • Marketing performance report (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.)
  • Presentation to AloWish founders

Student Experience Level:

Intermediate – Familiarity with basic marketing and analytics tools preferred

Tools/Platforms Used:

Instagram, YouTube, Google Analytics, Canva or Adobe, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz), LinkedIn

Learning Outcomes

Students will:

  • Learn how to build a digital marketing plan for a startup
  • Apply SEO/SEM and data analytics tools to assess performance
  • Gain experience running and optimizing real campaigns
  • Improve content design and branding consistency
  • Translate traffic data into actionable business insights

Project Timeline

  • Ideal Start Date: Flexible (e.g., start of academic term)
  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Hours per Week: ~6–8 hours/week
  • Suggested Milestones:
  1. Week 1–2: Research & audit AloWish’s digital presence
  2. Week 3–4: Launch sample campaigns/content
  3. Week 5: Performance analysis + strategy refinement
  4. Week 6: Final presentation & handoff

Student Interaction

  • Weekly check-ins with AloWish’s CMO or project advisor
  • Mid-point feedback session
  • Email or Slack for asynchronous support
  • Access to marketing assets and platform analytics (read-only)

Eligibility / Prerequisites (Optional)

Students should ideally have:

  • Coursework or experience in marketing or business
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis or SEO tools
  • Comfort with collaborative tools like Google Drive and Trello
