Continuation of comprehensive market research to support Oceanic Impact's strategic shift.


Ongoing collaboration between Oceanic Impact and CBU students. 


• supporting further developments and refining of actionable market plans for Oceanic Impact

• positioning Oceanic Impact for future growth


This will involve students:

• Learning more and contributing to adaptation of business strategies to evolving external and internal environment. Understanding goals, mission, and products, going a step further to craft vision statements.

• Refining forecasts using Excel for detailed income projections in the first year of operation as well as high level threee year income projections (conservative and aggressive).

• Working with the team to refine expense budgets and develop expense forecasts.

• Reporting on projected assets and liabilities.

• prepare visual comparisons using graphs and charts to show the differences between the conservative and aggressive income projections

Deliverables

Update the business model canvas, and focus on understanding the resource requirements and associated cost structures

• Complete income and expense projections for 3 years of operations to understand the company's net income or loss during this period.

• Analyzed projected assets and liabilities our company will have in the first two years of operations.


Final deliverables:

A final report that focuses on updated marketing strategies and financial plans for Oceanic Impact. The plan will include adaptation of business strategy, revenue structures, income projections, cost structures, expense projections, assets and liabilities, as well as any calculations and assumptions used.


• A 60-minute presentation using a pitch deck to explain the research efforts, findings and suggestions for proposed actions to support organizational success.

Oceanic Impact is a social enterprise that was founded upon having a positive impact on our ocean. We focus on waste and litter reduction and elimination through education, empowerment, and enablement. We provide up-to-date science-backed information coupled with tangible actions to help raise awareness on litter and its potential impacts. We provide emotional support to address eco-anxiety through mentorship, positive messaging through social media, and various other programs to empower and increase the audience's sense of agency to act. Finally, we enable individuals to act by providing them with tools to take action against litter while adhering to accessibility, equity, and diversity principles to maximize participation.
