Project feedback

There were numerous aspects of this project I enjoyed such as receiving an orientation, being able to contact the employer through slack and having two check-ins. I absolutely felt supported for the research and report writing portions of my project and this allowed me to produce outlines, research summaries and multiple drafts in addition to a final report. Where the project, to my dismay, fell short was with regards to the presentation. I felt that both my position as a student and my time were being taken advantage of since the employer was requiring me to work beyond the 63 hours I had already committed. During my presentation, I was interrupted multiple times and told to redo the presentation due to formatting issues despite notifying the employer that I was already overtime and my availability had ended for this project due to classes resuming. It was also insinuated that I would not get a good or "full" review in the employer's exit survey if I did not go over the 63 hours and redo the presentation on another day. I believe my presentation was complete and had I been allowed to actually finish presenting, I would have gladly taken the employer's feedback at the end and made any necessary changes. I had already gone overtime and kept working, I would not have had any issue going overtime again to make minor tweaks and changes. What I will not do is have my time, which is a courtesy and unpaid past the 60 hours, be rudely dictated. Regardless of my experience, I do think the company's mission is valuable and I learned a tremendous amount about concussion recovery.
